We come to this part of Lancashire regularly to visit family, and we've been searching for years for somewhere pleasant we could stay with our dog. At last we've found it! The management and staff are very efficient and friendly, the food - using locally-sourced produce - is very good, and the rooms are clean and well-appointed, with no unnecessary... More

I stayed at the Bayley Arms on tuesday night and was welcomed warmly by the ladies behind the bar who swiftly checked me in and gave me the key to the single room. The owners have sold the Shireburn down the road and are now concentrating on the Bayley Arms. Judging from older reviews some money has been spent, at least in the bar areas so the place looks tidy and well-maintained. It has a sport theme and on cold days there is a warm fire burning. The hotel is popular with parents... More

This is a lovely country inn in a beautiful location. The staff were very friendly on the day we booked in. We enjoyed our evening having a few drinks in the bar and then a meal later at the Three Fishes (beware of taxi drivers charging inflated prices, we were charged twice as much to get to Mitton as to... We were a group of 6 and booked just before Christmas. It was a good meal - everybody felt the choices were sufficient. Service was excellent. The evening was very enjoyable, and I could recommend the pub for country dining. Lovely part of the country. More
