Went for spa break with friends. The spa was amazing, with the infinity pool and the separate relaxing area after treatment. The staff at the spa and in the restaurant were really helpful. We booked this hotel at the last minute for a Friday night stay. Despite foul weather outside we arrived to a warm welcome and a very comfortable and spacious room. The bathroom had been renovated relatively recently, and everything worked well. The only negative comment I could make was that the dining room was rather dark with little natural light.

Nice country hotel near the Pennines. Staff are friendly and helpful and service was excellent. Dinner was a bit diss appointing - the fish wasn't all that fresh and the wine had gone off. Visited for Sunday lunch. In spite of the restaurant being nearly empty the service was poor. They did not have all of their wines on their limited list.
