A great pub with rooms above with a brilliant view of the harbour. You can lie in bed and watch the boats coming in and going out. Food is good, hotel is clean and the staff are lovely. My only regret was that I didn't save enough space to try their home made deserts. The rooms are not that big... More

The Duke of Cumberland is in a great spot in the heart of Whitstable. Room 6 has a double and a single bed and is big enough to still feel spacious. High ceiling, freshly decorated in whites and cream with large window over Harbour St and small one with a view straight down the High St. Smart Ikea furniture, tea... More

The room was very nice and we had a good sleep. The hosts were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was huge and good. The room amenities which included a hot pot to prepare the provided tea, hot chocolate and coffee were complete. The only caveat...the hotel is at the intersection of two small but busy streets so if you are... More

After reading the reviews on here I was slightly anxious about this hotel. However I was very pleasantly surprised. The staff seem to have a very hands off approach, the check in took about 1 minute and was very calm and relaxed. We were told that the check out was 11am but they said that as it was very quiet... The manager who's name escapes me (sorry) took our bags up to the room and upgraded us to a bigger double as opposed to the standard smaller... More
