Hi, stayed a night and was thankful it wasnt longer, the bed had fleas and was itchy and I got bitten. Doors were banged all the time and there wasnt even toilet roll available. The breakfast wasnt cooked properly and was served by an obnoxious youth with an attitude problem. Avoid at all costs

Arrived at guest house, young lad helped carry my girlfriends bag to our room (10), good job he did as we had to climb almost 6 flights of stairs, when we got inside room or should I say the attic very disappointed as the pictures on the website made the rooms look much bigger than they were, the ensuite bathroom... Friendly and affordable. Amazing breakfasts, wi-fi in the room along with a TV, sink and plenty of all the usual tea and coffee all for thirty quid a night. Definitely recommend this place. I stayed on a Friday and Saturday in March when the breakfast / dining room bar wasn't open so I don't know if it might get a... More

I stayed here for two nights at the weekend. Was welcomed in my David who carried my bags to my room. We wanted somewhere to eat in margate town as was visiting the turner center, he recommened us some places and kindly printed us of some maps. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and plenty of choice Sophia davids partner was... More

We went to Margate for a short break (three nights) last week. In our opinion Malvern Guest House is really nice place, and good value for money. Our room (no 6) was cleaned daily and our coffee and tea was regularly replenished. Great breakfast too (thanks, David!). They don't pretend to be some posh hotel, so please stop moaning in... More

The room stank, the sheets and carpet were filthy, the grotty shared bathroom off the hall opened into my room - not exactly secure and the staff were rude. It was so bad I spent 10 minutes in my room before searching for another hotel on my phone, calling a cab and leaving. Although I had paid upfront I couldn't... More

Sorry to say, this was terrible... we were attending a wedding so it was jus an overnight stay, But the young guy that opened the door had no welcome just asked for the name, then returned with the keys and just pointed to the stairs. We went up to the room & I can only say if it wasnt for... More

Despite friendly service this place is not up to standard - poor lighting and unwashed sheets. I am now dealing with the bed bug bites received there.

Basic clean accommodation, bed comfortable and clean. The owner was very helpful and cooked a great breakfast. You can't expect more from budget accommodation. I would stay there again.

Excellent value for money. David made us welcome on arrival and looked after our every need cheerfully. Rooms were clean and quite adequate and all meals taken were really well cooked and well presented. All in all a very pleasant stay made even better by David's attention throughout. Once again, excellent value
