..... and host with the toast.I echo all that has been already said.... Lovely in every way. Beautiful house and gardens, we stayed in the Oast house; a quirky and unique room, warm and womblike with the sumptuous bed of many duvets. And sleeping amongst woven wall hangings and brass rubbings was really special.... A medieval fantasy yet with all... More

We didn't expect room service in a B&B but the delicious home-made cake and tea that was brought to our room on arrival certainly hit the spot! We stayed when it was quite cold and discovered when we returned from dining out that extra blow heaters had been put in bedroom and by bathroom as well as hot water bottles... More

We have just returned from a fantastic trip to Godwin House, staying in the Garden Cottage. A wonderful B&B retreat, providing a warm welcome and great attention to detail. Tea and cake on arrival, great recommendations for evening meals, and even filling hot water bottles for our return! Would thoroughly recommend it - great location and great hosts. From Julia... Thank you for bringing the sunshine with you! Gosh we need more of that. It would be great to see you here again when the summer has got a proper hold of the garden. More

We gave extremely short notice and were thrilled to be able to stay at Godwin House; a wonderful, authentic establishment with a very warm, familial and friendly atmosphere. The short hop from Folkestone after a long drive through France was hugely appreciated, so a massive thumbs up for Channel Tunnel travellers. Godwin House is superbly located, thus ruling out the... While looking for a bed and breakfast in rural Kent for a weekend break we stumbled upon Godwin House. We were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived we received a warm welcome along with homemade cake and tea(much appreciated on a cold March day). The excellently appointed garden room made a very comfortable stay with everything you could want... More

The Garden Room with va va voom! What good fun to have all these free publicity rhymes from our guests. We enjoyed the children chats. Good to compare notes and tips on bringing up four. We hope the rest of you birthday treat went well. Please come back for another one. More

Just what a B&B should be .Both rooms were interesting and well appointed and we were welcomed very warmly. It was good to have fresh milk for tea & coffee in our rooms. Breakfast was a good combination of healthy and not so healthy options!,which we enjoyed in the main house overlooking Sean & Corinna's lovely garden .Certainly worth visiting... More

We enjoyed meeting such an interesting family - it was a real pleasure to have you... and we loved the slogan you instantly suggested. We may use it for our publicity - The oast with a boast. The cheque's in the post. We hope you'll come again and see the garden when it's blooming. More

We stayed in May 2012 for my birthday which was booked as a surprise by my partner. I love anything out of the ordinary and was VERY pleased with this B&B. The owners were lovely and the oast room was something out of Elizabethan England which really appealed to us. The grounds have a ha ha running through with tons... More

It's very pleasing to hear that your stay in the Oast House was a great birthday surprise for you. It is a unique space and right in the heart of Kent's history. We enjoyed having you here last year it was a merry time with our other guests. We'll be having the sheep back in our meadows when, if ever,... More

A fantastic stay in the countryside with amenities found at 5-star hotels. We had our own 'building' with a spotless and newly-refurbished bathroom and bedroom. The large bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in! Satellite tv and wifi, hairdryer, books, tea and coffee-making facilities, water, wine and snacks. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. Sean and... More

We booked Godwin House on-line (and were drawn to the property - it is our surname) as our usual farm house B&B was fully booked. Valerie and I found Godwin House tranquil and inviting with our hosts, Seán and Corinna most welcoming. ...afternoon tea and home-made chocolate cake was given to us on our arrival. This we partook on the... More

A wonderful place - a real treasure. As well as... More

That's very kind of you and very quick. Thank you very much. It was good conversation and I'm glad you liked the books. We didn't get one in about Irish poetry - maybe next time. You must come again.
