Rooms reserved online with some reservations! Some online reviews had been critical but now it is difficult to see why. Each of our three rooms were splendid, service unobtrusive but fun, professional and efficient.Food so much better than some reviews had suggested..in fact really very good by any standard. Beautiful grounds, private beach, relaxing resident's areas, Priory Bay exceeded even... More

We stayed in one of the luxury yurts at the Priory Bay Hotel that are put up in the summer and can thoroughly recommend it. Spent the evening sat on the yurt's deck over looking the sea, watching red squirrels run around the trees. The staff were really welcoming and on hand if we needed anything, but otherwise left us... We stayed at the Priory Bay Hotel for two nights earlier this week. Despite feeling like we might have lowered the average age of the clientele by a couple of decades we had a brilliant time. We stayed in the yurt that overlooked the hotel's own private beach. Beautifully decorated room, lovely bathroom with a roll-top bath, little balcony that... More

We lunched there with some friends of ours who live on the island. We didn't go to the Priory as our first choice but were very pleasantly surprised . At first sight the dining room seemed a bit tired but the food and service was excellent. The risotto was excellent and my husband's salmon fishcake probably the best fishcake he... More

Husband booked for my birthday lunch, ordered the Sunday roast. Most disappointing as all the food was, at best, luke warm, even the gravy! After complaining they removed plates to do a 'microwave job' on it (which didn't enhance the meat) and proceeded to put horseradish on the lamb and mint on the beef. Having pointed this out to the... More

We stayed here about 18 months ago before New Year and had a memorable time but this visit was even better! We were in room 6 which is huge and almost triple aspect with window seats looking out to the sea over the top of the pretty wood ,down to the garden with the sitting statues of Churchill and Roosevelt... The hotel is in a prime position in its own grounds near the beach. Staff are friendly, public rooms light and spacious. We stayed one night and eat in the Oyster bar restaurant. The starters arrived promptly and were fine. The meal was let down by the poor main courses. The steak was small and rather chewy, the fish pie... More

We have dined at the Island Restaurant several times on previous trips to the IOW. We have always been keen to return but we dined their last night and were very disappointed. The service was clumsy and felt lazy. The food, for the first time, was uninspired and mediocre. I doubt very much that we will be back as we... More

We went for a post Easter two day break. Taking our 16mth old a family room was perfect (room 9). Great for kids, lots of grounds, small playroom, beach and pool in the summer. Also, the chilfdrens menu has the basics, although expensive at £11. The staff are great especially Nigel in the restaurant. The hotel is very grand and... More
