We were so lucky with the weather which was a bonus, but without that the hotel was really good, staff terrific, bedroom great. We had previously only called in when staying elsewhere and been impressed - first impressions were not wrong - we shall return. Wonderful base for walking and lovely and quiet.

Good location. Room was excellent except radiators not working in March 2011. Food was terrible - pre-prepared, plastic, tasteless, over-cooked, very small portions. On the second night we went to the pub in Totland (for an excellent meal) as couldn't face another evening meal at the hotel.
