The place was great and the service was very great. We even were allowed to take our some fruit and sandwiches with us for lunch!

My mum and I stayed at Taphall as we were travelling from Yorkshire to fly from Stansted. Due to unforseen circumstances we ended up leaving Yorkshire much later than expected and this meant that we didn't arrive at Taphall until after 1am. Very nice, privately owned establishment. Excellent breakfast, after that the owner drove us herself to Stansted Airport (free of charge). The rooms are clean and have tea and coffee making facilities. Has an olde worlde feel about the place.
