Adam welcomes you into his home, treating you like a friend. We have now visited 3 times. Stayed one night only and would have loved more. The house is small and as advertised, won't suit those with mobility problems. In spite of an unprepossessing front the Benchmark is a real find. Adam is a welcoming host and a mine of local information with good recommendations for attractions and dining in the area. The beds had lovely crisp white cotton sheets, breakfast was home cooked and delicious. I would definitely stay here again.

Why go to to Kington, then not take advantage of staying in genuine architecture, with a great host, home comforts, etc. I visited a 'hotel' a freind was staying which was souless and far more pricey. If you go somehwere like this, dive into the culture to get the most out of it.... The Benchmark gives you that.

We stayed here whilst visiting family and enjoying Kington Festival, the wheel-barrow race was hilarious.
