When this hotel was privately owned we enjoyed good service and food. Often visit this hotel for morning coffee, when visiting Lyndhurst, however, after our recent visit we won't bother to pop in again. Upon arrival we went into the garden, which is quite pleasant and sat in the patio area and we were the only customers to sit out... More

Stayed at this really old hotel for 4 nights, yes previous reviews have said that the hotel is tired and it is BUT this does not take away the fact the hotel was friendly, clean, great staff and a great location. We upgraded our room and stayed in room 1 which was lovely, nice and big and a great view... More

Thank you for the great review, as you state we are aware that some upgrading is required having owned the Hotel for 12 months now we have made a considerable investment into the property on matters relating to plant and services so have not as yet been able to spend as much as we would have liked to on matters... This is a very good hotel. We had a lovely few days there. We were only B & B but the breakfast was very good. Room fine,, clean and comfortable. Nice bar. We did not eat there in the evenings as there are so many eating places around. Staff friendly and helpful. Location is super - walk out the hotel... More

Sometimes reading the feedback about our hotel I get the impression we are a bit like marmite people either love us or hate us! I am pleased that you have submitted your kind and honest review, we know we are dated and do have plans to improve our facilities, but in the meantime my team remain focussed on providing a... More

This hotel is pretty much the lowest of the low , run down, tatty , terrible smells in the corridors(like sewage). Room was dated , mouldy . run down and you felt grubby after being in it a few hours. The swimming pool was filthy , and you wouldn,t let your dog swim in it. Overall i'd give this place... More

At the hotel for the weekend. Decor is admittedly dated, as is the outside perspective. But don't let that put you off. The staff were friendly and very co-operative. The Breakfast was more than good. Evening drinks were a tad expensive but Sebastian (the new barman) was a great lauigh. We had a problem with the TV but this was... More

My husband and I stayed at the Lyndhurst Park Hotel on 27th April for 2 nights with 4 friends and found the hotel to be delightful, yes it would benefit from a lick of paint but if it was totally refurbished to be more modern the hotel would lose its old fashioned charm. I requested 3 rooms facing the gardens... More

Well we only returned from the hotel this morning and still in shock at just how bad the hotel was. The rooms which were deluxe at £129 per room per night were not even fit to be called standard rooms. Myself and my husband had room 8 and a couple of our friends had room 9, and they were both... Was poor. Pictures shown on internet are practically false advertisment as the hotel looks nothing like shown. Very shabby. Room was dirty cracked and fallen off tiles. Not happy at all would not stay again!

My boyfriend and i booked The Lyndhurst Park Hotel in Sept through groupon deals. We stayed for 2 nights over the weekend and had a pleasant stay. The hotel itself if a bit dated and it could do with a lick of paint but it's not bad for the money. Our room was spacious and overlooked the grounds. I can... More

I am pleased that all in all you seemed to have enjoyed your short break with us in The Forest; I am disappointed that we did not meet your expectations in the dining room on your visit but am pleased to advise that we have a new menu in place now with a much wider choice. Kind regards Neil Beech More

This hotel is without doubt in an excellent location in the heart of the village and provides ample free parking. The staff are friendly and efficient and our room was spacious enough for two with a great view of the garden. The breakfast was good but we did not use the hotel restaurant for the evening meal because the menu... More
