Absolutely first class. Daphne Mathews is the perfect hostess. A lovely welcome, superb fully equipped character rooms and fantastic breakfasts. The full English breakfast was brilliant ...if you go do try the fabulous Walnut Toast. Good location with many tourist attractions close to hand. Very close is Bucklers Hard Maritime Museum - an absolute must.- photo below shows part of... More

Yew Tree Farm is the most fabulous B&B in the New Forest. Just a couple of rooms but the best hospitality and amazing traditional rooms. Superb! More

A real gem of a find. My husband and I visited for 2 nights during October as I wanted to visit some old childhood haunts. We were wonderfully welcomed by Daphne and shown to a large and comfortable room. Everything you could possible want was provided. The breakfast was so relaxing as it is served up until 11.00 am so... More

Spent one night (only, sadly) at this beautiful cottage, which my husband booked as part of my birthday present. If we did not have had to return to London for a birthday meal with friends and family, we would have happily stayed longer. Daphne, Gordon and the dogs and cat were extremely welcoming and their home, which they open up... More

My partner and I found this gem amongst "Britain's Finest". Picture perfect, a beautiful thatched cottage set in a perfectly private garden, climbing roses , huge old apple tree , wisteria... you get the picture. We were warmly greeted by our hostess Daphne and shown to our room, more a suite than a room! Tastefully furnished with an obvious eye... More

We have just returned from Yew Tree Farm where we have been spoilt by Daphne our hostess. We had the upstairs room which was extremely clean and airy, beautifully decorated and contained everything we needed for our 5 day break. Daphne's breakfast set us up for the day and her kindness and thoughtfulness made our stay very memorable. We would... More

Daphne Matthews is a very welcoming hostess, This B & B is a little teasure. Our breakfast was served on a beautifullly laid table with silver teapots and lovely china. The menu was quite extensive, and catered for all needs. Our room was large, airy and extremely comfortable. Daphne was informative about local restaurants, pubs and places of interest etc.... More

On behalf of myself , my friends and my sister. I would like to say that the lovely Daphne showed all of us kind hospitality when we stayed there for the weekend. Daphne was very pleasant and kind and always made sure that myself, my two friends and my sister were enjoying ourselves and was concerned for all of our... More

Resting literally on the doorstep to the New Forest, Daphney Matthew's little gem, dressed in Its Sunday best - well manicured gardens overlooking a large paddock, quaint old thatched roof - provides a veritable home away from home for those looking for something a bit different from the usual new forest b&b fare. The interior has been crafted to exhude... More

If you want to stay in a thatched cottage with lovely gardens in an idylic setting then this is it. Your hostess is exceptionally welcoming as she shows you to your room. Our room (double en-suite) was full of 'Olde Worlde Charm', floral curtains, angled ceilings, wood panels, it was set up to be warm and relaxing. The hospitality tray... More
