unelss you like the idea of being in a separate block behind garages with paper thin walls an electric fire and 70's decor. I couldn't wait to leave, although the location was pretty and the pub itself was fine. The food was OK

I found the hotel very dissapointing and the food was very poor plus the beds were uncomfy the only fun thing we did was throwing bricks through windows.
Went here for a meal with friends as was in the foodies book boastig orgainic, local home cooked food. The food was average and everything appeared to be from CostCo which to be fair is local to this place - guess thats not quiet what I expected! I ordered slow cooked lamb sholder and got a lamb shank it was...

Friendly staff and clean pub area let down by very basic mediocre pub grub. The traditional cooked English breakfast was OK with juice, cereal and tea or coffee in addition. Speciality beers stocked in bar but no premium popular brands such as Stella Artois. One of three rooms in a converted garage block a few metres from main building. Bathroom...

good food (I had the Boston Salad & the King Crab Legs), very friendly managers. Very decent price compared to what you can find in Milton Keynes. Rooms are more decent than expected for the price. In short a very good surprise.
Please don't stay in the hotel rooms! I refused to pay no more than £25 for this room and that was over priced by £24! Shockingly bad bed, furniture and bathroom. The water didn't work in the shower and to be honest, I couldn't walk around without my shoes on - filthy! I have given them my feedback and told...

Although an effort had been made to smarten the rooms up with new curtains and new bedding, the rooms were still dated. There was dust on the picture frames etc...

While not expecting 5 star accomodation for the price, this was still awful.
Chosen for convenience to The Stables at Wavendon and the web site which gives the impression of a descent pub/accomodation. Do not believe the web site. I am not sure what awards or when but would say there has to have been a change of chef at...
