Lovely B&B. Joanna and Richard were excellent hosts. Very comfortable accommodation and Joanna's breakfasts were marvellous. Also thanks to Richard for suggesting we join The National Trust; we visited some outstanding properties during our travels around England.

We were so glad that in planning our 12 walking days on the Cotswold Way that Little Smithy was the only B & B where we spent two nights. Having a cottage to ourselves (two senior couples) gave us space to relax after our hikes, drink tea and have a before dinner drink. We walked from Wotton Under Edge to... More

We stayed at the Little Smithy when walking the Cotswold Way. Highly recommended for walkers and others! This charming place, the image of a cottage in an English village, is situated only 200 yards from the pub, right in the heart of Tormarton. Excellent beds, breakfast and service. This was also the place where we had the most hearty and... More

We stayed here for 1 nights b&b whilst walking the Cotswold Way. We were warmly welcomed by Joanna. The Little Smithy is a beautiful self contained cottage with everything you could possibly want. My only regret is that we could not stay longer. Breakfast in the main house was very good, particularly Joannas' home made bread and stewed plums. The... More

This is the BEST B & B we had stayed at for the whole week when doing the Cotswolds Way. This place set the Bench Mark and for the rest of the week we kept measuring all places against this place and nothing matched it. Superb room and hosts. The only slight negative I had was a lack of shower... More

We stayed overnight whilst attending a memorial service in Hawkesbury. Little Smithy is a charming spot and Joanna and Richard were delightful hosts. The self contained 'cottage' was most comfortable - all in all thoroughly recommended

It was worth the walk from Wootton under Edge! The Little Smithy is located beautifully for anyone walking the Cotswolds trail and you are made to feel very welcome. There was no fuss about our muddy boots but you certainly wouldn't want to mess up this lovely cottage. It was exclusively ours, located just metres from the main home where... More

This was a serendipitous find when the all the other accommodation listed in the official Cotswold Way booklet was full and we were recommended to stay here. Little Smithy Cottage is separate from the owner's house and is very tastefully and comfortably decorated in an elegant country house style (think Cath Kitson and Laura Ashley) and would make an excellent...
