I attended my friend's wedding at the hotel a couple of weeks ago so we booked a room to stay over on the Saturday night. “Lovely, friendly environment, high standard finish, and most importantly a great nights sleep!”

This hotel is very clean and fresh looking and has clearly been newly refurbished to a high standard. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very good. I stayed with my two young children and the rooms comfortably catered for them - I would recommend!

What a great room, completely refurbished, extremely clean, with large comfortable king size bed, clean linens and towels every day. Perfect accommadation for the travelling businessman on the go. Food is fantastic and they have a wide variety on the menu. (try the chefs guiness pie) !!! best i have ever tasted. Whenever i come back to Southend on business... More

“Excellent stay, lovely staff”

The staff were outstanding. Very helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The shower is fabulous! So many hotels have inadequate showers. Dinner was superb, I had the steak, and breakfast also very good. I will definitely recommend the Skylark and will definitely stay here again if I have to come to Southend.
