Hotel was clean but beds were very uncomfortable. They consisted of a 3 inch thick mattress on a wood slab...zero comfort. Price was right but if it's impossible to sleep it's not a value. Would not recommend!

OK for one night. Overall it is OK. Facilities are just basic. Counter staff is extremly busy and has little time for guests.

We rated the room 3/10. Rather spartan, bed hard, but it was clean. The shower was good but personally I didn't like the claustrophobic 'pod'. Staff were very helpful. Pity there was no kettle in the room and a cup of tea (or even hot water) downstairs was £2. Didn't sleep well because the fire alarm went off at 3.10am....

My friends and I stayed at the Etap hotel in Barking the first weekend of December as we went to London for the weekend!! We paid only £49 between the 3 of us for a triple room which was clean and tidy including a seperate toilet and shower room. Both the double bed and the bunk were comfortable

All the ETAPs are basic hotels and we knew that. The problem is that people take this hotel like hostels and they do what they want during the night. The first night I've been wakened up at 1 AM by a group of German workers who were partying just outside my room door. They smoked and drank all time, screaming....

Though the hotel wasnt so easy to locate, we had fun. Location gave us the quietness we desired for our vacation and we could easily commute.
