This is my fourth visit to Ashleigh Lodge and it is still perfection. Lovely clean lodges - very clean and linen/towels provided. Great to have fresh milk in fridge with plenty of coffee/te/hot chocolate and biscuits. Liz and John very helpful and friendly and it's great to be able to take dog with us and not feel unwelcome. Rooms are... More

My Wife and I stayed last weekend and travelled from Kent with our Dog to explore the area for future visits.. We have stayed in a few places over the years and this establishment took us by surprise. The owners, John & Liz were welcoming and not to instrusive. We stayed in one of the rooms opening out into the... More

My husband and I stayed at Ashleigh Lodge with our 3 year old daughter. When we arrived the owners were not present but had left the keys in the door of our 'lodge' for us which was not a problem. Very welcoming couple and breakfast was lovely. We stayed in a family room which was spacious with a shower, no... More

My husband and I were on the last day of a walking holiday - and what a reward. Room in lodge, very high standard and very comfortable. Breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. John and Liz had an ideal balance of being friendly, helpful but also unobtrusive. Would highly recommend this accommodation.

Myself and three other 'old codgers' stayed here during a walking break. I booked a single and family room. The single was attached to the house and the family was in one of the garden rooms. Both were excellent, clean, modern, comfortable and warm. A wonderful English breakfast stood us in good stead for our walks, and being close to... More

WOW, for the price and Location, and the Hosts, and the Breakfast, and all the extra touches, we accidentally arrived early for breakfast, and this was no trouble as well. The location was far enough away from the main town, but near enough to get to town or the beach. Highly Recommended.

We stayed for two nights in one of the garden rooms. The bed was very comfortable and the room clean. A welcome addition of a fridge; with fresh milk was very much appreciated. Breakfast was superb!! A choice of cereals, yogurts and a bowl of chopped fresh fruit which was beautiful. My husband had the full English but I tried... More

Stayed at Ashleigh lodge last night, bought our dog and grandaughter with us, had a garden room so the dog could easily nip out for a wee which we thought sounded great and it was UNTIL....Around 9pm just as our 4 year old grandaughter got settled in bed the people from the adjoining rooms arrived back from work, workmen from...
