The are so many detailed revues from others travelers I agree with most of them, but I want to wright about owners, husband and wife, which are running this hotel (Gerard and Nadege). They was friendly and helpful, like everybody sad. They created atmosphere that another hotel will never have (no matter the quantity of stars). This couple really care... More

We know the area around Siran well and were curious to see what had been done with the chateau. The couple who run the place are well-meaning, friendly and helpful. The rooms have been redone in a modern, 3-star hotel style which makes it feel like you are staying in a brand new hotel rather than an old charming chateau.... More

The first thing is that you have enjoyed our region that deserves to be known. I'm glad to have been able to be useful in the selection of your visits. As for the charm of the castle I will not discuss because it's pretty hard to please everyone. Our rooms are spacious, comfortable and recently renovated. The beds are comfortable.... More

Embedded in vineyards in perfect silence and quiet of a typical summer in Southern France, we discovered a wonderful land full of history and rich in taste. Thanks to the owners, friendly and warm, we could explore the surroundings touching the life of wine makers and the path of Cathars during Middle Ages. The Chateau is definitely worth many other... My husband and I stayed at Chateau de Siran in mid-June as part of a two-week stay in Languedoc. As part of our experience we planned to bike to explore the different areas we stayed in. Gerard and Nadege (who own and run the hotel) were so crucial to making this plan a reality. To start with, Gerard arranged to... More

I do not understand the positive reviews of this place, I think they should be friends or relatives of the owner. The house is not in a vineyard, nor does have a nice location. It is an old house (chateaux) in a village. Employees and owners lack of hospitality and are poorly prepared to take the hotel. The food "gourmet"... More

I'm very sorry reading your comment. Our comments come from our clients and not our friends... Look at the reviews on Booking.com they are the same and to make a comment on booking you must have a reservation. But we can't like everyone. As I write it on my site : "The Chateau de Siran is a 16th Century country... More

We loved our brief stay at the Chateau de Siran. Spacious, elegantly refurbished, gracious proportions, beautiful views across vineyards, and the owners went out of their way to make us welcome, even accommodating a vegetarian for dinner at late notice. The tiny village of Siran is a delight to wander through, with its narrow streets. pealing bells and the community... More

We drove down from Paris to see the Carcassonne and picked this hotel aprox. 1/2 hr. drive away. It was everyting we had hoped and more. The room we got was as beautiful as their on-line picture which doesn't happen often as well as clean and peaceful. The meals were tasty, including the breakfasts which are well worth the additional... More

The small Aude town, Siran, can be reached from many directions; we were touring along the Canal du Midi so headed up from Homps (about 10 minutes). Once in the centre of the village (near the church), there is a sign for the Chateau--one of many built by the vignobles--Minervois--after a good grape harvest. You can park in the small... More

We'd been traveling in France for nearly 2 months so had eaten quite a few meals at everything from Michelin starred restaurants to the local brasseries. We were recommended Chateau Siran as it was under new management and had a great chef. We arrived on a beautiful mid-October Friday lunchtime and chose to eat in their very stylish garden. We... Firstly, the special offer on this website does not work - you do not get room upgrade at all! Our room was the basic double and was also "just" finished the day we arrived - she told us that for some reason so the heater smelt very bad in the evening! the shutters are two dangerous for customers to open... We are extremely sorry that you do not feel comfortable in our hotel. It is indeed a winemaker castle with a beautiful view on the vineyard. The more a big country house with 2 towers as I indicated on the website along a small village surrounded by vines. and what we want above all is that our guests feel at... More
