This motel is an ideal stopover in a good location opposite Lake Albert.Compared to other motels on our travels in Australia it presented good value for money.

We've only stayed one night at the Lake Albert Motel in Meningie. The lady at reception was very friendly and provided us with good information of the area and Lake Albert in particular. Whilst the rooms are a bit of an older style, everything is very clean and works. If you are looking for a place to stay in Meningie,... More

We stayed here for one night last month and found both Meningie and the Lake Albert Hotel to be a real gem. We opted for a one bedroom suite, which was a large room divided by half walls into a bedroom, living area and we had a cute little kitchen. Our friends had the room next door and theirs was... More

The owners are very kind and helpful people, going out of their way to help guests with all their needs. Our room had a semi -separate lounge, with large robes separating it from the bedroom area. This did make it a bit hard to see the TV in bed, but no big deal. The room was large ,the bed was very... Stayed overnight on trip from Adelaide to Penola. Typical 1970's motel featuring small room with nylon autumn toned carpet, timber veneer benchtop and plastic moulded basin in brown tiled bathroom. HOWEVER, bed was very comfortable, room immaculately clean and owners very helpful and pleasant. My major complaint would be that the outside lights are left on all night and as... More

A purpose-built motel right on the main street in Meningie, this place was clean and well maintained. Our room was a good size and spotless, though the plastic shower curtain let down an otherwise reasonable bathroom. The owner was extremely cheerful on check-in, and clearly runs a good operation. We would happily stay here again, but doing so would be... More

We took a driving tour from Adelaide to Melbourne in May 2008 and planned all of our hotel stays from SIngapore by searching on-line. It is a risk when you do this as the quality is frequently hard to assess since the hotel web sites are usually biased to say good things. This Motel ws fantastic and everything if not... More

This was just a one night stopover on my way to the Coorong National Park and I wish I had stayed longer. Very pleasanat owner. This may be a typical motel, but I had a good sized room, very clean and smart with a kitchen corner with fridge, toaster, coffee, etc. The motel's own retaurant serves local fish and also... More
