We started our trip to South Australia with 2 nights at Merna Mora (Not long enough). The accommodation suited us well and was very clean and comfortable. Our hosts were very helpful and most happy to share their local knowledge with us. Can't believe how many stars we could see out there and the quiet was bliss.
Stayed at Merna Mora Station first night of Flinders Holiday in Setember 2012. Called and booked at last minute and received excellent service when booking and arrival. Rooms clean and tidy with well equiped kitchen (only TV a bit small but didnt come to Flinders to watch TV). BBQ area excellent and put on campfire.
Wonoka is a working sheep and cattle station in the Flinders Ranges, about 40 km from Hawker. 3 of us stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage (in a row of 4). This station is secluded, quiet, and perfect for families.
Our room had two bedrooms, with a kitchen and a bathroom and shower.
Our kitchen had a full sized fridge, pots, pans, oven, stove etc.
We manged to bring all our food and cook for the three days we stayed. (even a big roast for 5).
