We arrived to find a fairly run down cottage accommodation (fairly large, but with paint peeling on the walls) and soon found fleas on the bedding and couches. Now granted, this was the day after a large scale sheep dog trials, but surely this problem could have been anticipated and dealt with. When we reported the problem we were offered a slighlty newer, but smaller cottage, and we found there was fleas (or at least dead ones) on the bedding there too. Not only that, but all the bunk beds had a layer of sand over them! The cottages also back on to the highway and you can hear more trucks than birdlife
The next day we brought it to the attention of the management, and they responded well by moving us to an executive cabin. The accommodation here was much nicer and well furnished - although unfortunately the kids bedrooms face west, so by the time their bedtimes come around the room is a good 10degs hotter than outside, and difficult to cool.
The location was nice...
