From Winton we were picked up by Charlie in an air conditioned bus, so commenced our Carisbrooke Station Full Day Adventure Tour. Just loved the homestead and the sunset tour was fantastic. Charlie and Penny are wonderful hosts and we are so pleased they have had to turn to tourism to help make ends meet. It gave us the opportunity to understand just how hard it is for the farmers of Australia to live. We really wish them well for the future.... More

We stayed for one night at Carisbrooke Station, following a visit to the Lark Quarry Dinosaur Trackways, south west of Winton. We stayed in the old farm homestead, which was like staying at Grandma's place - lots of board games, and swings in the yard, and plenty of room to spread out for a family of four.
