Very pleasant house with good vibrations. We loved the "jungle sounds" and the garden views from the wooden deck in front of our room. Our hosts certainly did everything they possibly could to make our stay a memorable one (we were there for 8 days). Excellent food and conversation made for very enjoyable breakfasts. We will definitely return next time... more

The owners describe their b+b as "a perfect environment " - and that is exactly what it is . It provides you with beautiful surroundings, superb breakfasts , delightful rooms . Plus the owners were very helpful in providing us with local knowledge and advice re the locality. They even offered me a lend of a pair of trainers as... more

Oh my! This B&B was amazing, as were Stephen and Maureen the hosts. The 2 guest rooms are on the ground floor of the house with direct access to the pool. The owners have great attention to detail and there was a welcome folder in the room with just about everything you could want to know about, magazine’s left out... more

We stayed for 3 nights in July 2010, having seen the reviews. There was quite a bit of rain which restricted our movements, but Papillon is the perfect place to while away a rainy afternoon. Stephen & Maureen were lovely hosts, the breakfast was delicious, and the balcony view of the beautiful garden with its flowers and birds was perfect.... more

Early in December 2009 we have stayed for three nights at the Papillion B&B. It is a very nice B&B, the room was fairly small, but adequate, very clean and well maintained. The house is located in a charming garden, so that you can have the feeling of being right in the jungle. The breakfast was absolutely brilliant, there were... more

If you are looking for a great place to stay near the Daintree Rain Forest and Cape Tribulation, you could not ask for a better spot. My husband and I just returned from a world wind trip to Australia and we are so glad we found this little piece of paradise located in Mossman. Our hosts, Stephen and Maureen, provided... more

We traveled all over Australia and New Zealand and we found Papillion to be the best bed and breakfast we stayed at. The hosts Maureen and Stephen were intelligent, helpful and anticipated our needs and offered their guidance willingly. The breakfast was tasty and delightfully presented. The swimming pool was an added plus and wildlife was all around us. We... more

You arrive at Papillon bed and breakfast and feel like your in a tropical paradise. The owners house and and the two guest rooms are set in about half an acre of tropical gardens with lots of flowers and lush foliage. There are many birds and we spotted the beautiful blue ulyses butterfly. The two guest rooms are across a... more

Papillon offered us a peaceful and excellent first experience of Australia well off the beaten track, staying three nights in the middle of February. Maureen and Stephen were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome as we walked down the stairs following a very long flight. The room was large with excellent attention to detail, including a small fridge,... more

Papillon offers a peaceful destination only minutes away from Mossman Gorge. We stayed two nights at the end of January. The hosts Maureen and Stephen were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. The rooms are lovely and quite large with excellent attention to detail, including a small fridge, cutlery, glasses and tea/coffee making facilities. The pool was bigger... more
