A tropical oasis in the midst of the rainforest, just a short drive from the wonderful beaches of FNQ. A first class venue for those who love nature and birdlife, and hosts Maureen and Stephen are ready to share a wealth of knowledge on the flora, fauna and sights of the area. Peaceful and serene, this was an ideal location... More

Papillon Bed & Breakfast was a wonderful home base for our adventures in Northern Queensland. They were very knowledgable and helpful in organizing a reef tour and a Daintree Rainforest tour for us..even in the short time we had. Their close proximity to Mossman Gorge is definitely not to be overlooked as the gorge is absolutely gorgeous and a wonderful... More

Couldn't fault our 4 days stay at Papillon. Maureen and Stephen looked after us so well, we really could have stayed longer (loved the breakfast) and definitely will be back. Our room was well appointed with a wonderful outlook to the garden and pool. Relaxing on the deck in the hammock, in the peace of Mossman, really couldn't be beaten.... More

A beautifull place to stay! The owners are very friendly and they know a lot about the area and the things worth seeing. The Mossman Gorge is a great place to take a hike and be surrounded by the wonderfull nature. We couldn't wish for a better start of our holiday in Australia. More

This was our first B&B experience in Australia, it could not be better. Every time after those two nights stay in september 2011 we used that accommodation as a benchmark. Only a few could reach the same quality and hospitality. We must admit we were there at the right time of the year the garden was beautiful with all the... More

We were hoping for a relaxing start to our holiday and that is exactly what we got. We were welcomed with great hospitality and a tranquil setting to amaze us. The Balinese style house is a perfect retreat and the rooms facing onto the pool and lush garden setting were perfect to wake up to. Maureen and Stephen are wonderful... More

What a gorgeous place for us to get away! Stephen and Maureen were amazing hosts who bent over backwards to accommodate the fact that we had a 15-month old baby with us. They generously loaned us a baby cot complete with linen, baby bath, pram, high chair and various baby toys, books and swing. Plus they gave us lots of... More

Our family stayed at Papillon in July 2011. We were lucky to book both guest rooms for five nights at a few weeks notice. Papillon is a lovely property nestled between the rainforest and the cane fields of Mossman. It is towards the end of a winding roads very quiet although you will need a car to get there. The... I stayed at Papillon for five nights with my girlfriend and parents. This was my first time to stay at a B&B and after being spoilt by this experience, hotels will just not feel the same. As many others have said before, the rooms, gardens, pool etc are beautiful. The breakfasts - to die for. But above and beyond all... More
