I have been visiting this resort for 7 years, every time I have new experiences. The owners are the staff, they get to know and chat with every guest. The food will match any restaurant in the world, the rooms are all unique and with enough room to spead out and relax. The weather can be raining and cold but... More

Set amongst beautiful, rainforest greenery, Cedar Park Resort was certainly a memorable stay for our family traveling in the Cairns vicinity of Australia. I certainly recommend this as a diversion from the beaten path and a decompression from the the norm. Just minutes from the popular haunt of Kuranda. Accommodations were on par with any boutique hotel and amenities were... More

To bad we could only stay for two nights! The owners are really nice and the food in the restaurant is great. Freshly baked bread and in the morning fresh rolls and croissants top it off (coming from germany, we had missed that while traveling in australia). The beautifully maintained gardens are regularly revisited be wallabies and peacocks and you... More

We went here for lunch with friends and had a great time. It takes about 45 mins from Cairns driving up the mountain and through the forest. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere with great scenery and wildlife, we particularly liked the wallabies. The hotel is rustic and the restaurant has a large outdoor terrace overlooking the forest.... More

What a great experience! Amazing location in the middle of the rainforest! The hotel has six rooms which are individually decorated and a big verandah from which you can observe the wildlife. The bathrooms are modern and very clean. Very cute tame wallabies which hop around in the garden! In the kitchen Christof and Markus not only cook delicious food... More

What an awesome place to base yourself from after a long day on the road. A picturesque 6km ride into tranquility, No phones, no tv, no kids & most certainly a homely welcome. We peeled off our hot motorcycle clothing & enjoyed a cool drink at the bar & chatted away with Josy. Their food is fresh, tasty & fantastic,... More

We had never stayed in a rain forest before so this was a unique experience for us. We were the only guests on the particular night we stayed, and were graciously welcomed by Marcus, one of the owners. Our room was very large and quite nice. My only (small) concern with the room was that there were quite a few... More

We visited Cedar Park in December 2011, and really enjoyed the ambience and setting of this lovely hotel. The food was magnificent, and the Cedar Park team Rosie, Marcus and Christoph were so friendly and nice, it made our stay complete. It provided a relaxing atmosphere set in tropical rainforest - heaven. You do need a car though as it... More
