Stayed for one night following Australia Day in the new rooms and was very impressed. The room was clean, comfortable and pleasant sitting on the balcony. Not keen on the older rooms but the new refurbished rooms will be my choice whenever I am back. The front staff were also very helpful and made our stay pleasant.

I think all rooms have a water view. Some rooms are newer and better appointed. We stayed in a fairly basic option, but with the rain coming and planning to stay only one night it was ok. Not luxurious, but basic. This is an adequate motel. Biggest positive is the sunset view over the bay. If travelling from Port Douglas (as most people do), get there in plenty of time to relax watching the sunset. Bottle of wine, some nibbles, sitting in the gardens watching the sun set over the bay. We stayed 1 night in this motel right on the waterfront with great views over the sea. Very comfortable unit, enjoyed the tables and chirs ont he lawn outside our door.
