After a long trip up to Cooktown, the hotel was a welcome surprise. We had expected something far less comfortable and modern; only because of the remoteness of the town. We took a 2 bedroom apartment upstairs overlooking the main street. Fantastic location and very comfortable. The restaurant was excellent, and another pleasant surprise. More

The drive to Cooktown is quite a long way from the nearest big city but well worth a visit. The steady breeze here makes tempertures in North Queensland more bearable. A 2 or 3 night stay in the Cooktown is sufficient to see all the sights in the area More

We were disappointed with this hotel as it lacked warmth.
