An amazing interactive experience with the wildlife. We shared our dinner with the coppery possums who were incredibly polite and well-behaved. They asked for their food with their paws outstretched and ate their meals with the best of manners. In the morning, we woke to some 15 or 20 parrots who were quite used to feeding on our balcony –... More

My wife and I and two teenage kids were looking forward to luxury in the rainforest. While we did have an interesting experience with the various animals that stopped by and the walking trails were nice, the accommodations were not luxurious and there are a lot of mild disappointments you realize when you arrive. - There is no daily service... I'm at the Bower, part of the Canopy Tree houses in the Atherton table lands in Queensland. I do not want to leave. Wish I could stay here forever. the house is luxury. The surroundings are magic. The experiences (Innot hot water springs in Ravenshoe) petting a tree kangaroo, nuzzling a Paddymelon, feeding a possum, having an Australian King Parrot... More

We stayed for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The treehouses are spaced welll apart so are very private a quiet, surrounded by rainforest and views of the river. The birdfeeder on the deck ensured a constant stream of visitors (honeyeaters, parrots, cat birds, bush turkeys), plus possums at night (with baby on the back!) and pademelons wandering around... Stayed for 3 days and really had a great time at the Canopy Treehouses. The self-contained two-story tree-house was brilliant. Lovely rustic decor but with all the modern conveniences. You are situated in a lush pocket of rainforest and have access to nature walks and the river without even having to leave the immediate area. We saw turtles and platypus... More

All I can say is wow, wow, wow, we visit the Canopy on a regular basis and feel right at home. The possums, birds, turtles and Cassowaries make it extra special.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was perfect. We were after a relaxing rainforest retreat and the Canopy's certainly lived up to this - our Treehouse was cosy and had everything we needed to make our stay perfect (log fire, fully equipped kitchen, large spa bath, etc). The wildlife really made our stay - hand feeding birds from... More

I agree with everything Daniel M has written. The rainforest environment is magnificent and obviously cared for with great enthusiasm by the owners, David and Sharon. The rainforest area is one hundred acres and is situated in the midst of agricultural land, a sobering reminder that rainforest areas are decreasing and there are fewer havens like this one for the... We’ve been lucky enough to stay in quite a few jungle lodges, and they tend to be about 50% jungle and 50% lodge. The Canopy, by contrast, consists of a handful of beautiful treehouses, surrounded by 100 acres of privately owned, virtually untouched rainforest. This means that you get to really experience the serenity and solitude of the rainforest, without... More
