We have just returned from our 11th trip to the Tree houses and it still provides the same unbelievably relaxed environment for us adults and all the excitement that the kids have come to love. We have stayed at other "rainforest" and wilderness accommodation on the Tablelands before but nothing compares to The Canopy. I even chose the Bower House... More

Great treehouse, perfectly clean, all amenities provided within the house except for WiFi (no network service beside Telstra which is really poor anyway).. Not much to do but very enjoyable for a short getaway in a rainforest retreat and you can always drive a short distance for a swim at the waterfalls.. Peaceful beside possums and wild turkeys coming every... More

We stayed for 2 nights to have a taste of the rainforest during a trip to the Great Barrier Reef. We had an amazing time. The pole-houses are incredible and very well equipped. The owners are very helpful, but discrete - there if you need them, but keeping out of your way if you don't. It is difficult to pick... More

We stayed in the Bower House which looks over a cleared paddock and to the distance back up to the highway from Millaa Millaa to Malanda. The house is an absolutely beautiful pole home with all the mod cons and is fully self-contained. The bedroom upstairs is open on a mezzanine floor with a bathroom (shower only) so not that... More

We recently stayed 3 nights in one of the canopy houses. The absolute highlight for us were the birds, the wallabies and the view from the living area. Possums were cute also but somewhat demanding and left a lot of mess on the balcony. We spent a bit of time exploring the rainforest but not as much as we planned... More

We stayed in the Rainforest Unit. Great bird watching, along with spotting other wildlife. The owners were very friendly, helpful, and accessible. You can tell the owners care for the rainforest and all the animals. Location was very convenient to Milaa Milaa Falls, Atherton, and many Tablelands sites. We especially enjoyed spotting many birds including Spotted Catbird, Victoria Riflebird, King... More

This is a very special and unusual place. The owners have set out to encourage wildlife to visit the (large) balconies and nearby areas of each treehouse by providing food for the different animals. Like other reviewers we were visited by a whole range of birds, as well as possums and paddymelons. We also saw a platypus in the stream... More

An amazing interactive experience with the wildlife. We shared our dinner with the coppery possums who were incredibly polite and well-behaved. They asked for their food with their paws outstretched and ate their meals with the best of manners. In the morning, we woke to some 15 or 20 parrots who were quite used to feeding on our balcony –... More

My wife and I and two teenage kids were looking forward to luxury in the rainforest. While we did have an interesting experience with the various animals that stopped by and the walking trails were nice, the accommodations were not luxurious and there are a lot of mild disappointments you realize when you arrive. - There is no daily service... I'm at the Bower, part of the Canopy Tree houses in the Atherton table lands in Queensland. I do not want to leave. Wish I could stay here forever. the house is luxury. The surroundings are magic. The experiences (Innot hot water springs in Ravenshoe) petting a tree kangaroo, nuzzling a Paddymelon, feeding a possum, having an Australian King Parrot... More
