We stayed one night at the Ship at short notice in May 2012. Room was very clean, with lots of character (nice furnishings, Moroccan or Indian objects, etc), exposed beams, and a super comfortable bed. There were good tea and coffee facilities in the room, and a really spacious clean shower room. I'd have been happy to stay for longer.... More

Formerly the 'worst pub in Norfolk', according to past reviews, the Ship is now part of the 'Flying Kiwi' group of Norfolk hotels and gastro pubs. And phew! are the staff working hard to establish a good reputation... the hospitality and service here are remarkable. Possibly the most enthusiastic I've encountered in any hotel. Which many guests will enjoy, but... More

Excellent overall experience with good friendly staff and very good food. Food is gastro-pub type with prices to match! Hotel is part of the 'Flying Kiwi' group. Rooms - or at least our room - was spacious, clean and well furnished although some rooms on the 2nd floor are in the eaves without room to stand up for a shower.... More

A change of plans led us to make a late booking for a double room on Sunday night. We arrrived separately and were both made extremely welcome by Daniel and his team, who correctly identified us and carried luggage to our charming room. Everything was spotless, cosy and comfortable and with a hospitality tray of a quality far in excess... More

we stayed here with our 5yr old daughter for one night on the May Bank Holiday. We arrived earlier than we expected to check in because it was raining (again!) but we enjoyed a light lunch & was packed with people enjoying the a la carte menu and Sunday lunch menu. The room was great with a 6ft bed and... More

My husband and I stayed at The Ship the other week and had a wonderful time. We arrived in the afternoon and were warmly greeted with the delicous home made lemonade other reviewers have mentioned and fresh water and a biscuit for our dog. The bar area and restaurant areas are tastefully decorated and serve excellent quality tasty food. Our... More

A lovely welcome from Scott and the team with a cool glass of homemade lemonade, this was a very welcome refreshment after our long journey. Our room was spacious and the ensuite had both a nice shower and deep bath. The meals were fanstasitc (it's worth booking a table for an evening meal) and accompanied by very attentive service throughout... More

After having stayed at the Ship Hotel during the summer of last year, and being impressed by it, we decided to stay again. Unfortunately the experience wasn't quite what it was the first time. Firstly though the positives: - It's in a good location within walking distance of the lovely Brancaster beach. - The bar and restaurant is tastefully decorated.... More

A lovely welcome by the manager with fresh lemonade was followed through with excellent service all weeekend. The staff consistently make you welcome and are attentive without being over the top. The room was spacious and clean with a huge bed. Homemade shortbread and fresh milk were appreciated and topped up every day. A few more toiletries would have been... More
