We really enjoyed our evening meal at The Farmyard Inn Youlgrave. I had a Chicken Curry with Mango which was delicious. My wife had Homity Pie which was equally good. For afters we had Cheese and Biscuits which would have been almost enough for a main meal and Summer Pudding which was also very good! Well behaved dogs are welcome... More

After a long drive through the countryside passing various villages and scenes, Was truly glad to stop. We had booked accommodation at fairly short notice. The pub had a friendly cosy atmosphere with a roaring fire which was lovely as it was a very cold evening. the menu sounded warming, what we had ordered was fantasitc, proper hearty good pub... More

Our room was one of what I believe is just four and was clean comfortable and well decorated with an adequate bathroom.Although the room overlooked the car park it was not noisy at night. We felt obliged to eat in the pub the first night but came back for more the second night we stayed.I would recommend the Steak and Ale... We visited this place a couple of weeks ago, and found our room to be lovely, warm and welcoming. No view out of the window (The Stable) apart from a wall, but it was seperated from other buildings so efectively detatched! So it was very quiet. The staff were warm and welcoming, and just plain down to earth. My only... More

I stayed overnight at the Farmyard with my partner to break up a journey in somewhere a little more scenic and homely than a motorway service station. We were delighted with, well, everything. We started out with a drink and evening meal. The ale is perfectly kept (and I'm seriously fussy when it comes to beer!) and fortunately not just... More

This place is the real deal in terms of friendly staff, good accommodation, reasonably priced food and a wecoming coal fire in the bar. As a bonus, there are a number of great walks which you can take in all directions from Youlgreave. We'll definitely be back with friends for a longer stay.

Our stay was just one night, and we were arriving late. The staff were accomodating, and friendly. The room is a reasonable size, with a nice ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was very nice, and we felt like they would have made us anything we wanted, even if it was not a choice from the list. The full English was just the... More

My wife and I stayed here whilst visiting nearby Bakewell, last weekend. Well what can I say about the warm wellcome we got on arrival from the wonderful staff. We arrived earlier than planned and were immediately shown to our room (The Cow Shed). The room was on the ground floor with easy access to and from the car park... More

After an all-day-walk in the district, our one night stay felt like a heaven on earth. The room was very tidy, warm and the en suite bathroom was very clean. Loved the food in pub, as well as breakfast. We planned an early day so breakfast time wasn't an issue for us. It was very lucky for us to find... More
