We used the Windy Harbour for my late brother's wake in April 2011. They were absolutely superb and provider a great service and super food with no fuss. A really professional team and a venu I would certainly use again.

Small but comfortable rooms. excellent restaurant with quality food. Breakfast cooked to order and quickly too. anything we asked for was greeted with a courteous "not a problem" . The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. Windy Harbour is very well placed for walking or visits to the many attractions available in the Peak District.
A positive welcome, tour of the hotel and being show to our rooms was only the start of this very pleasant stay. Tea and cakes in the guest lounge were brought and consumed with pleasure.
Clean and extremely comfortable rooms.
Breakfast cooked to order was very very good as was the coffee.

Some B and B's are a bit dull. This one was not. It doubles as a local community centre and during our stay there was an Irish Wake, Rotary Club meeting, workshop on childrens' safety plus a social gathering of an embroidery ? group. They were all delightful people. I felt I should have paid an entertainment tax. There are...

Our reason for staying was a family wedding at the hotel with evening reception. We arrived and were greeted by Mike, the manager, who immediately made us a 'brew' and we sat in the lovely, well kept garden. The location is beautiful, the views stunning and the food was great! 3 days each of the Full English, no effort for...
