Stayed here for the night whilst attending a family wedding and would echo all the previous great reviews however, the real test of any hotel is how they react to a problem . The owner had offered to contact a taxi for our journey to the train station and we gave her the card we were given by a local... More

We were helping move our daughter and grandaughter up to Glossop from Birmingham and needed somewhere to stay overnight. We chose The Bulls Head and very pleased we did so - we have found a regular bolt hole for when we come up to visit! The pub itself seems typical for walkers - all flagstones and no frills - with... Great location for walkers. Very unusual in that it was a genuine oldy worldy locals pub with a real curry house as part of it. The rooms had been renovated to a modern comfortable standard and I slept like a log. There is parking close by and the outward appearance is very welcoming with its fantastic hanging baskets. The staff... More

We spent two nights here, in Old Glossop, and have no complaints at all. Our room, number 3, though fairly compact, was warm, attractive, in keeping with the 'oldest pub in the area' ambience and all was lovely and clean - no dust, cobwebs or mildew in sight. There was a fair amount of creaky floor-board sounds until quite late,... More

Oldest pub in Glossop, situated in the old part of the town, very nice and pretty part of Glossop overlooking the church. Pub is typical locals' pub with TV, pool table, etc. Spent one Sunday night here on day of Glossop Derby at Wembley. Couldn't really fault it except for bit of noise outside late on, but that was only... More

Just spent a really good night at the Bull’s Head. It is in the heart of Old Glossop - a very picturesque Peak District village – it has commanding views over the old church and the hill beyond. The rooms are excellent (Rooms 2-4 have views out to the hills) and were recently refurbished to a very good standard. We... More
