We only stayed for one night at Birds Nest Cottage but could not have been made to feel more welcome. As a family of 7 we occupied 3 rooms and each one of them was comfortable, clean and very nicely decorated. As we arrived at the guest house we were greated by Lynda who was very friendly, there were home... More

My parents stayed here on two occasions during their visit to the Peak District. (As I dropped them off and picked them up I was able to see the property and meet the owner as well). They could not say enough about how great the guest house was. The owner Lynda made them feel very welcome and you could tell... More

My husband Nick and I have just had another 3 day stay at Birds Nest Cottage. Lynda always provides a warm welcome and the location itself is great for trips to see my family and for Nick to explore the Peak District. We are lready planning a return stay! More

"If you're feeling rather low Then out to Glossop you must go. Lynda's welcome will start to heal All those lumpy bits you feel. Breakfast, paintings, cake and tea Goodbye to toxins, set them free. The Globe for curry and then I'd try A walk up Kinder, and you'll feel high. More

A very warm welcome and a most pleasant stay at the Birds Nest Cottage. Our gang (six friends) spent 3-4 days in the Peak District, and we couldn't have wished for a better time. The town of Glossop itself is certainly worth a visit, with a great local pub called 'the Globe' recommended in particular. We all gained a pound... More

Very little we can add to previous reviews. Lynda and her husband are very hospitable. The choice at breakfast is extensive, and the food delicious. We had booked a double room and a single. However, when we arrived, Lynda gave us a choice of rooms, and our teenage son was offered use of a twin bedded room for the 3... More

The hospitality was fantastic - a great welcome after a long day's walking. Straightaway cakes and tea offered to me and I was immediately made to feel at home. Lovely comfortable room and delicious breakfast next morning. More

Our room was clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. Our host was excellent and very welcoming. The food was delicious and the surrounding art very pleasing. The garden was outstanding, like paradise, with a stream running through the garden and spacious grounds. Shops and restaurants were within walking distance and the Peaks were amazing! We had a great... More

We needed accomodation when we travelled tp Glossop for a family wedding and the Bride to be gave us the name of a B and B that she heard was good - she was not wrong! Our welcome was very warm and friendly and we felt right at home straight away. The accomodation was brilliant. There are 2 guest sitting... More

We're so glad we returned again this year; consistent high quality with wonderful breakfasts (catering for our vegetarian diet very well) and truly excellent hospitality. We stayed in a lovely double bedroom at the back of Bird's Nest Cottage and were lulled to sleep each night by the gentle sounds of the river which runs through the garden. It was... More
