Excellent experience from booking to departure. On booking via the website, it stated that usually times for arrival were 2 until 6, which raised a small concern, however a quick phone call to Claire put my mind at rest. Our arrival time could be handled as long as we let her know when we would be arriving. We were greeted... More

What a fantastic find the Ramblers Rest was. Great location in Castleton and a massive bonus is there is a super car park which is very safe. Claire was there to greet us and take us to our room where she offered to make us a tea or coffee even when the room had the facilities to do this which... More

Came to Castleton with our dog for the day and decided that this was well worth a stay over. Then went through all the "pet friendly" lodgings only to draw a blank. As we were walking past the Ramblers Rest we winged it and gave the owner a call. Within minutes Claire came over and couldn't have been more welcoming.... More

My husband and I spent two happy nights at the Ramblers Rest in February 2012 and although the weather made our planned walks a bit treacherous, we headed out safe in the knowledge that when we returned to the accommodation we'd be looked after and could totally relax. Clare & Robbie made us feel really welcome in their home, they... More

We have just returned from our stay at the Ramblers rest and we agree with everyone on Trip Advisor. What a fab little B&B. We stayed in room 5 which has its own door entry and the room was a great size so with our dog it was perfect. We wanted to take the super king size bed home with... More
