Wonderful, locally sourced food. I had the scampi and it was delicious! My partner had the duck, and it was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. We followed the meal with a sticky toffee pudding, which was generous and covered in custard! We've eaten here before and we'd eat here again. 10/10!

Had a fantastic stay for valentines day, beautiful pub right in the heart of castleton. The room was amazing, with four poster bed, massive spa bath and lovely view of the castle. The evening meal and breakfast were first class, the owners and staff were friendly and made us feel like part of the family. Will definitely be back soon.
