We stayed at Denewood for one night, the owner greeted us and made us a cup of tea. Our room was clean, modern, well decorated and had a lovely selction of teas, coffee and hot chocolate. The bathroom was modern, spacious and sparkling. We were welcomed by their friendly cat Fluff who likes a lot of fuss! Downstairs was a... More

My girlfriend and I stopped at Denewood for 2 nights, and while it snowed on the morning that we left, it didn't affect my judgement of the place, unlike a previous reviewer, as they don't control the weather. We found our bed extremely comfortable, and the room very homely. Everything was very clean and quiet, with idyllic views as well.... More

We had a great weekend at Denewood. Its very clean and comfortable and I highly recommend it. We relaxed in the evening with the use of the lounge to ourselves and our rooms had everything we needed and a lovely selection of drinks to choose from. My daughter loved Fluff the very friendly cat who enjoyed all the attention. We... More

Spent 2 nights at Denewood, and found it very welcoming, with so many little touches that really sets the place apart from other places in similar price ranges Arrived to a warm welcome and a cup of tea, and were shown to our room which was the "Lower Styx" room on the ground floor. The first thing that struck me... More

A nice B&B with parking, close to the centre of Castleton. The owners were friendly and made us feel welcome, without being overbearing. Breakfast wasn't included, which is somewhat odd for a B&B. Cereal etc was available, but if you wanted a cooked breakfast you'd have to go next door. This was due to the owners having young children and... More

I visited Denewood on Valentines weekend earlier this year. My boyfriend had booked it as a suprise present and I wasn't disappointed. Upon arrival (late night friday) we were greeted with a hot drink and a friendly face. Jon and Emma were more than willing to offer advice and guidance on the best places to visit in the area, and... I stayed at Danewood for a couple of nights , very nice place. The owners Jon and Emma are very friendly and good hosts. My room was very clean and the bed was comfy. The B&B is at the edge of Castleton village on the road leading to Winnats Pass so idealy located for walking in the area etc.

Jon & Emma went out of their way to make my stay with my 3 children comfortable and simple. We felt like welcome guests rather than intruders in their home.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights in Castleton with this hotel and we would stay there again next time we visit. It has a very relaxed setting which made us feel we're at home. The room has everything we needed and we had an extra lounge where we can watch DVDs and read. Plus, the owners Emma and... More

We had a lovely one night stay at Denewood. The location is fantastic- within walking distance of the sights and pubs. Emma and John were great. Emma was on hand (on the phone and in person) if we needed anything. The room was great (we were given the family room even though we booked a double) and had everything you... More
