We stayed for two nights when doing a track day at Donington. Lovely setting. Beautiful river location. Check in was swift. I had room 24 on the ground floor which was very nice and quiet. Quiet weekend break away from the kids, we chose this hotel for the food and weren't disappointed, well worth it's two rosettes. Helpful and friendly staff, good quality room (in the main hotel), and relaxing view over the river. The fine dining restaurant is a treat, we stayed two nights and had excellent meals both nights.

This hotel really is “on the river”. The long narrow drive leads down past the little cottages and over the old bridge to the entrance and free car park. Stayed on the dinner bed and breakfast deal and was overwhelmed by everything to be honest. Have booked for later on this year and will definatey highly recommend this hotel. The service team are brilliant, rooms are immaculate and the food inc breakfast is some of the best I have ever had. A hidden gem of a place.
