Visited here when my wife and I were dating and we thought it was lovely. its a very small restaurant with a decent sized bar area, with a modern yet cosy feel. The food was simple but tastey and well cooked.

My wife and I visited this restaurant this week. We were so delighted with the food and service that I had to post my appreciation. The menu was excellent and superbly cooked. The home baked bread is to die fore. Starters were superb and the main courses excellent. Finally the sweet left me in chocolate heaven. All of this excellently... More

Now I will try to be subjective!!! Lovely setting, nice bar area and the restaurant is well set out and the furnishings and decor are contemporary and comfortable. Unfortunately that’s where the good stuff ends. We were the only people in the restaurant, the waiter was friendly but obviously inexperienced, we had to collect an extra wine glass and linen... My husband and I went to Bistro B as it now know with another couple. There is a large trendy bar area with comfortable sofas, a really nice area to sit for drinks and to look through the menu. We were then shown through to one of the two dining rooms, it is elegantly decorated and tables are spaced apart,... More

Positives - fabulous meal, great service, good value for money. Breakfast also very nice. Negatives - "Executive" room is anything but. Bedroom itself just about ok, but bathroom had poor fittings, a shower more or less hanging off the wall and unpleasant finish all round. Keep the extra £25 and go for a standard room. General - I had to... More

Had a really enjoyable stay here after going to Alton Towers for the day. The rooms were beautifully decorates, as was the rest of the Hotel. Ashbourne is very pretty but there is not alot to do in the evenings (which didn't really matter because the room was so comfy we didn't want to leave). Would deffinately recommed this hotel!

Stayed in room 4, an executive room. Would hate to see the size of a standard room. Ate in the restaurant which was a little dissapointing. My wife had a steak with a confit tomato, which was a tinned tomato, the pepper sauce was tasteless. At nearly £20 very dissapointing. My lamb was very good. Room 4 cost £125 for... More

Unfortunatley we were dissapointed with our stay at Bramhalls, we did arrive with high hopes but sadly felt a little let down. The welcome was warm and we were suly showed to our room. We had booked the executive double (Room 4) but it was not the standard i would expect from a 4* executive room. Neither me or my... More

Stayed here with 4 friends last week. We were on a cycling trip and stayed just the one night. Amazing little hotel with lovely restaraunt. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great menu, lovely food - cook (Laura) is brilliant. Top full english breakfast next day. Good value for money - couldn't fault the place - perfect.
