We stayed for two wonderful nights, the hosts were more than friendly and charming. The farm house is quirky by design and has been lovingly and tastefully restored. The room we had has lots of character but without being imposing. The bed and bedding is without doubt the most comfortable I have ever slept in (including many 5 star luxury... More

We had 3 lovely nights at Fiddleback farm, the rooms are beautifully renovated, beds warm and comfortable and the breakfast delicious, a really nice place to base yourself.

We decided to stay at Fiddleback farm the night before on our way to Scotland on our honeymoon we booked over phone with ease by a bubbly friendly lady. when we arrived we were greeted by friendly host who gave a full explanation of the rooms and amenities and also suggested a local eatery. The stunning rooms looked like new... More

We thought our stay would be pleasant as the "farm" sounded interesting but we were surprised when , as soon as we arrived, the owner, Lorraine, asked for cash upfront. It wasn't a welcoming experience and it had never been asked of us before. Next we found a notice on our door that stated that the heating had been turned... More

We are sorry to now have to ask Guests to whom we have no payment card details on record to make payment upon arrival. This has become necessary because our accommadation is separate from our Guests and we have no way of noticing when Guests depart in the morning early without making payment. With reference to the heating, the notice... More

this b+b has so much atmosphere it's wonderful, and that is just the building and the history that goes with it! The hosts are fantastic and could not have been more welcoming! You are spoilt with the breakfast choice and it is home away from home with cherries and chocolate sprinkles! Will return later this year it's already booked!

We undertook a driving holiday, mainly of Scotland, from Heathrow airport, where we landed and hired a car, up as far north as the Orkney Islands and back again. We stayed primarily at bed & breakfasts found over the internet, checked out via Tripadvisor where possible. This was an interesting building – an old farm house shaped like a fiddle... More

We have just stayed for one night at Fiddleback Farm in order to attend a party at the nearby pub. We found the place very easy to find; it is clearly signposted on the A595. We had to arrive in the morning and having emailed with the owners, that was not a problem at all, even if the room wasn't... More

I was looking forward to staying here as the pictures on the website looked lovely. We were staying in the area for a wedding. Check in is not until 5pm and although this is quite late for check in, it was fine for our needs. The room itself was very nice, very cosy and clean. The breakfast was ok, nothing... More

Beautiful house. Very unusual, really nicely done up. But too many air fresheners (they bother my asthma). There is a train track close by but the walls of the house are so thick it isn't a problem. Breakfast was Very nice! Good choice of what to have. Host was very amenable. Had problems finding the place. It cost us £84... More

I an sorry to hear of this complaint. There is always two sides to any story. Ours is we ask our guests vacate our property after breakfast, before 11am and return after 5pm. This is because we operate as a B & B and our policy is clearly displayed within our rooms. When reminded of this at 10.45am our guest... More
