We stayed here during our coast to coast walk, the room was great, wonderful view, we even had big fluffy dressing gowns to wear. The Landlord is a great guy, plenty of chat and a bit of a laugh & joke. Just the kind of person you need behind the bar. Lovely evening meal and great porridge next day.

Having discovered the charming Greyhound in 2004, I couldn't wait to return to it in 2012. I'm glad to say that I wasn't disappointed. Booked this room for 3 nights as a base for exploring the lakes and was really disappointed. Firstly can I just say that the hospitality was really very welcoming but unfortunately the room was really noisy, we could hear everything below, down the corridors and the water pipes which didn't help a restful nights sleep after our very long journey....
