I stayed here as part of a 3 night photography workshop in the Lakes. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts and evening meals were excellent. The place is fairly basic but is a defintie step up from youth hostel accommodation. There are no ensuite rooms (although there will be in next year) but plentiful showers, toilets and baths.... We arrived at 9.00 am to Bacon Butties and coffee, then we were transported to Honister for Via Ferrata (recommended). Back for lunch and then a pleasant afternoon of archery. There were 6 off us in the party and it all ran like clockwork. Thanks for an excellent day.

Stayed here for a few days, dinner was excellent and good value, surrounding area lovely, staff very helpful, accommodation fairly basic but I think the price reflects that, bar available too .

The Glaramara outdoor centre is uniquely placed with fine views of mountain scenery from the front door and lounge window. We have many happy memories of Glaramara, awesome staff, great facilities and very welcoming. David the owner is passionate about making this place better and the last 12 months have seen massive improvements. What makes this place special is the great location and very high standard of food. Would seriously recommend this place
