Booked this Hotel after seeing it on Wowcher and we were very impressed. Clean tidy and friendly. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. We had the family room which was spacious and clean, and comfortable. Afternoon tea was included and this was very well presented and tasty.

Went on a groupon offfer. We were seated at the bar end of the inn (not restaurant side). Nice girl serving but little else to recommend. Ordered fish & chips as there was not a vegetarian meal. It was showing -1 in our car when we arrived at Red Lion at 5pm, shown to room, no heating on, I asked for it to be put on, which was. Carpet in room was grubby, tierd and in need of good hoover. Hairs in bathroom and stain on the one bed spread! Had lovely meal in evening, couldnt fault.... More

The Red lion really is a lovely place to stay and to dine. It is very well mananaged and is consistant in it's cleanliness, good food and hospitality. The Red Lion is very convenient when visiting Oulton Park or the Cheshire Polo Club and not to far away from the beautiful Delemere Forest. Janice & Cliff Owen
