Our fifth time at Alvaston & it just keeps getting better. Check in was quick & we were greeted with a warm welcome. We were in a standard room which we consider to be perfectly adequate for a short break. We were lucky with the weather & were able to make use of the outside activities such as bowling, putting,... Enjoyable weekend (despite the weather ! ). Initial impressions spoiled by a bathroom which could have been cleaner but apology offered and issue soon resolved. Our first stay at a Warner Adult Only hotel but would be happy to return (at the right price). Pleasant and well equipped bedroom in the Limes (liked the room safe and mini fridge) ;... More

Arrived to see a coach being unloaded of it's cargo of zimmer frames! Hotel set in lovely grounds and the staff were great, however the room was a disapointment, the explaination was that this part of the hotel was being renovated and thus the room was £30 cheaper than usual, if this had been flagged we wouldn't have chosen that... I have spent two very enjoyable weekends here on the basis of what Warners term "Experiences". The tuition was very well organised the accommodation comfortable (although I wouldn't recommend the basic rooms in the annex. Leisure facilities pretty good and the golf course, although only nine holes) was challenging as it wends its way up and down hills. One very... More

We stayed as a family group - from 60 to 80 year olds. We found the accommodation a little tired, but the staff more than helpful and friendly. One of our party was able to borrow a wheelchair from reception and the young man we had all weekend as our waiter was first class and attended to everything efficiently. Thank... More

Just returned home following a weekend break at Alvaston Hall. We have stayed in most of the Warner Hotels and Alvaston Hall has not let the side down. We took advantage of the VIP Experience and was not disappointed. Stayed in a Royale Room in the Hall, but was rather disappointed with the standard considering it was supposed to be... More

We started staying at Warners Alvaston Hall many years ago when we were quite young but never felt out of place, just joined in with everything, daytime activities, quizzes, leisure facilities, dancing etc even learnt how to play bowls, we love Warner hotels and have stayed at several different ones but Alvaston Hall is our favourite, it ticks all the... Just returned from 4 night stay, this was our third visit to Alvaston in 12 months, hope to go again when the Bunburry refurbishment programe is completed. It is to be upgraded to luxury suites in place of budget accomodation. Our visit was spent in Grove House in the Tunstall Suite, very nice apart from room doors banging ealy morning... More
