Set in beautiful location just outside Bedford. Inside, the Travelodge looks very unkempt and neglected, the receptionist, although very pleasant, was covered in face-metal, ears, eyebrows, lips, tongue etc. very off-putting. The entry door, a fire-door, was propped open with a wedge, which i removed. Room itself was clean, but thick dust under the bed, the mattress was appalling, obviously... More

I stayed for one night and was very glad it was not more! The first room I was given was at the back on the first floor and had a very pleasant view across fields. However the room was filthy. The TV had obviously broken and they had removed it but forgotten to clean up the build up of dust... More

Booked through work so not sure of prices, but I would pay a few quid more if I were you! Had curry all over my remote control and toilet paper (at least that's what I hope it was!) my colleague had a room that smelt so bad it made me feel sick. This is coming from someone who's travelled in... More

Stopped in many travelodges, and as far as they go this is clean and staff friendly and very accommodating, a lot of reviews complain about cleanliness, but when you pay £30-£40quid a night you don't expect the Ritz, the sheets are clean the towels are clean and the bed is comfortable. One Thing to ask is get a room on... More

For the age of this Traveldoge is did exceed my expectations, I used to live in the village where this Travelodge is situated, it is probably older than me but it has been well kept. Its clearly a stop over for long journey's. I stayed here with my boyfriend on March 2/3rd as a last minute decision as I became... More

Stayed here in December 2011. If you just want a room, that is what you get. But at the prices who could complain. The young man who books us in was very pleasant and we I request we have rooms at the back, moved us. Be aware that the photo on the web site does not show the 24 hour... More

Stayed here for business purposes for one night in January. It is your standard fairly basic travelodge but for £19 it still represents good value. Despite my room being on the road side overlooking the petrol filling station the room was quiet and well sound insulated with the windows closed. Staff were friendly, room and bathroom perfectly clean. Proximity to... More

If you work away a lot with work and shop on a budget, you'll already be aware of the Travelodge brand and standard. It's basic, reasonably clean accommodation for around 30-60% LESS than the usual hotels. To put this in context, you'd expect to pay around £40 a night here, £80 for a "no better" hotel in other chains. The... More

We stayed here for one night and our room was on the opposite side of the petrol station, so had no problem with noise from that source. As another reviewer has mentioned the receptionists on duty were friendly and helpful. It is easy to find, off the A421 from the M1 to Bedford. Our room (#8) was clean and warm,... More

If you are 'travelling', & you need somewhere to 'lodge', it's ideal. If you require a hotel with all amenities you will be disappointed! Very convenient for M1, Bedford & Milton Keynes. Marston Moretaine is just about walkable for the Pub, Co-op, Newsagents & Indian take-away. An Indian restaurant is a short drive away. Taxi to Bedford is around £10... More
