Buck Bay Farm was the absolute perfect place for our wedding. As soon as you show up you know you're in an extremely special place. The setting, both the building and the grounds, was magical. Brick, the owner, was unbelievably laid-back and accommodating. So cool! He went out of his way to make sure everyone was comfortable and happy. We... More

We had a family reunion in July with aunts, uncles, cousins, spouses coming from all over the place and different ages and interests. We stayed at the Buck Bay Farm for four nights and found it a perfect place to gather for a medium sized group like ours. Private rooms with hotel amenities and great gathering places inside the house... More

This 'hotel' is a lovely large multi-story farmhouse set in the midst of lavendar fields, grassy openness and surrounded by woods. Because it was previously a B&B, each bedroom has its own bathroom so there is good privacy . We loved that the kitchen is large enough for several cooks; decks abound for reading and conversation, plus cozy areas within... More

This was our first B&B and it was really fun! Sarah was our innkeeper during the two nights. She was not only friendly, knowledgable about things to do in the area (and other travel info), but she was a fabulous chef! My husband and I felt pampered by her really special breakfasts: the presenation and the quality were top notch!... More

We stayed in the Maple Room and the bed was one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in. There were fresh, homemade cookies and bread pudding when we arrived. The breakfast was fantastic, made to order omelets with smoked salmon, fresh chives from the garden and cream cheese. I would agree with the review that the place needs some... More

Once a charming completely refurbished farm house, Buck Bay Farm now sadly needs fresh paint, carpeting, and new room furnishings. The owners no longer live on site and it shows. There is no attention to detail or pride in the overall presentation. On the plus side, the breakfasts were great, the staff friendly and the cookie jar always full but... More

My sister was visiting us in Seattle and searched the web for someplace in the San Juan Islands. She stumbled on Buck Bay Farms, which turned out to be one of the most amazing places our two families have stayed. It's an old beautiful farmhouse set on a queit road on orcas Island. Not fancy but has everything you want,... More
