Mahahual, although still recovering from the hurricane damages is just paradise on earth, very quite, especially on weekends (where cruise ships are not there). Luna de Plata is small and comfortable. Many rooms have sea view. The beach is nice and you are almost always alone. We were there in February and it was empty. Sometimes there was no hot...

We just returned from a one night stay in Mahahual. We traveled down from Playa Del Carmen just to check it out. We chose this hotel because of price and it was pet friendly. Walk across the street and the beach is yours! The rooms are nice sized and simple. The restaurant serves authentic Italian fare...

As with most hotels in the city, it is just across the sandy road from the beach. The rooms were clean and quite new. We...

I went to visit Mahahual with my girlfriend in late November. From the beginning, we weren't expecting too much from this small romantic town, turned cruise-ship stop.
However we were plesantly suprised when we stumbled upon the Luna De Plata hotel. We selected one of their 'superior' rooms and were presented with a very well layed out and decorative room....
