We arrived in Coba in the afternoon planning to stay the night so as to visit the ruins as soon as they opened. The room was dirty with no hot water but we did pay for it. Also there is no staff at all. The biggest RIP-OFF in the area. We felt very insecure there as all our stuff was in the room while we went to visit the ruins but no one was taking care of the place.

I had stayed at El Bocadito years ago and it was pretty dumpy. But the new manager has done alot to make guests comfortable. My room had hot water, cable TV and air conditioning. The price had gone up to $25 US but it was the best deal in town. He has a nice palapa in the patio where we... More

The ceiling fan was not up to the task of drowning out late night barking dogs. I didn't see any evidence of dirtiness and enjoyed the hot water, but if I return to Coba, I will stay at the "Hotelito Sac-Be" across the street.

At the centre of the village. Staff and food good enough. Rooms very dingy. Dont try it unless the $12 room rate is important to you.
