We cannot really share that opinion. We think it was amazingly clean and nice considering the fact that they have very decent prices. Sure, rooms are relatively basic but in comparison with other places in mexico where you end up paying the same it is absolutely fine. The Alifer has a good location and the rooms are adequate, but given the rate is just US$30/night I wasn't surprised to find our room was extremely basic, even spartan.
