I am a single female, exploring possible places to retire, and I found Angel Flores Guest House on VRBO. Initially, I was apprehensive, as a female traveling alone, but from the minute I arrived, I immediately felt at home. Felipe picked me up at the airport and is an excellent tour guide. Skip is very knowledgeable about Ajijec walked me... More

My wife and I spend a couple of nights in this great Guest House in Ajijic. Skip was very helpful and made us feel like at home, and despite the constant rain (the whole weekend, non stop) we had a great time. We are hoping to go back to Ajijic when it isn't raining, and we will be staying here... More

A very good place for a longer stay in Ajijic, a sort of crossroads place in a walled garden oasis, where guests from USA and Canada arrive and depart every couple of weeks during winter, gathering in common dining and sitting areas to swap stories of travels. Eight squeaky clean guest rooms have private baths, firm mattresses, and weekly maid... More

This is a great place to stay when visiting Ajijic. First off Skip is a great host as well as a wonderful person that is very knowledgable of the area and a great source of information. The grounds are absoultly beautiful and maintained everyday. The kitchen is perfect for preparing your meal and very well stocked with cooking pots and... More

I recently stayed at Angels Flores for 4 nights, the location is perfect as it's in walking distance to everything. The guest house was neat & clean, the bed, very comfortable. There is an outdoor kitchen that has everything you need, the kitchen is completely covered. The grounds are pristine and green. The host/owner skip is very accommodating. I highly... More

Small but well kept rooms, beautiful pation area with terrific garden, dog friendly (our standard poodle loved it), outdoor kithchen for breakfast and coffee, engaging owner. A great Mexican bakery a block away for sweet rolls, and a fruteria for fruits and vegetables close by. We loved this place and only %50.00 dollars a night. Can be hard to get... More

My wife & I stayed at Angel Flores for Jan & Feb 2011...we booked sight unseen and paid up front before we came...a major mistake...we found many other accomodations in the village that were much cheaper and of higher quality...the rooms are clean and have a large closet..they have absolutely no ambience or coziness..the rooms are lit with bare light... It's so hard to find a place to take us with 2 cats and a dog. This was wonderful. Skip took the time to sit with us while his dogs became comfortable with our dog and did not harass our cats. The communal kitchen has so many gadgets that there were some that I had no idea what they were... More

Small room with one metal folding chair - closet, no dresser, no place to read. Bathroom has no shelf to leave toiletries. Located in the busiest - thus noisiest part of this artistic village, rooms have zilch ambiance- polyester bedspread, rooms all have same 2 mass produced pieces on walls. Community kitchen with gravel floor used as storage area for... More
