I really liked Malarrimo. I stayed overnight (and ate meals) 1 night on my drive down to points further south in Baja, and 1 night on my drive back to the U.S. (By the way, the driving in Baja California is fine safety wise....and beautiful! I can personally vouch for the drive from the U.S. border to San Ignacio stretch...via... More

This hotl is fine and we really enjoyed staying there for two nightts. The rooms are basic, but clean. There are coffee making machines and the wireless connection was free and worked well in our rooms. The bar is fascinating with lots of interesting things on the walls to look at and a pool table. The batman made me a... More

My wife and I travel south/north to Baja every year. We stay in Guerro Negro on the south and north bound journey. Malarrimo can be described as the best of a bad lodging situation in a uninspired town. Guerro Negro's only attractions are the salt mine and whale watching. The rooms at the hotel are sparse with no heat and... More

If you're looking for a very inexpensive, clean place to stay while driving up or down the Baja, at the halfway point in Guerrero Negro, this is the place. No frills, that's for sure, but very clean rooms with comfortable beds. They ask for $100p deposit for the TV remote control, which you get back in the morning. The main... More

I pulled into this lodging establishment after a very long day on the Baja. I'd started in San Diego that morning. This is not luxury but a decent, safe place with rooms and RV hook-ups. The beds are comfortable, although it would be best to bring your own pillow. There is TV and coffee maker and even a bottle of... More

The restaurant is excelent, but the hotel is not... they ask at first the deposit in chash (for the tv remote control), it is a hugh problem with wi-fi connection all around and the rooms look verry avarege... The bigest problem is that they NOT accepted all the credit cards (mastercard). I suggest only to try the restaurant.

We arrived without reservations and at the reception they were really nice and helpful. They gave us two rooms for the first day and we had to move to a different room the following day, so we had a chance to sleep on 2 different types of room. I have to say the rooms are great! The larger suites have... More

Viewed the hotel rooms for next time we take a group down to whale watch. didnt stay there but wished we had as it looks clean and in central location. did take our large group there for dinner and breakfast. We filled the place quickly so I cut them slack for service, which was OK. They were scrambling. What was... More

We flew into Loreto and rented a car and drove up to see the whales. We were presently suprised with the whole experience.Malarrimo runs a very well organized motel, restaurant and whale excursion. We recommend this spot to everyone. We want to bring the grandchildren to see the whales. Richard Lake Forest, Ca.
