Here's what we did last weekend at Woodhaven: Walked, ate (steak), biked, ran, kayaked, ate (salmon), canoed, swam, read, ate (pie), watched movies, drank wine, lay in the sun, hot-tubbed, roasted marshmallows (and ate them), lit fireworks, ate, drank wine. Just got back from our fourth visit to Woodhaven and already looking forward to many many more! David and Michael (two of the nicest people ever!) run a wonderfully warm, relaxing and stunning lodge that makes guests (including doggies) feel so welcome. Most other pet-friendly B&Bs/cottages require dogs to be leashed, while at Woodhaven they can play and frolic off-leash... More

We just got back from our first visit to Woodhaven Country Lodge. March, the season of mud, might not seem like the best time to travel with your dog, but David and his family were totally accomodating to the dirty paws and the shedding retriever. "Kita" had her own dishes in the bedroom, towels at the front door, and a... More

We have just returned from our 3rd stay in 4 consecutive years at this warm, friendly, and ever-so-relaxing lodge. Perhaps it's better described as a large "B&B" because the owners interact with you for your every need. We go in the winter, with our Cockapoo and German Shepherd, because we love the quiet and serenity which comes from the blanket... More

I spent a week at Woodhaven Country Lodge and did not want to leave. I took my dog who was warmly welcomed (also great for kids). Lovely room with a view of the lake. Yummy breakfast (and other meals). The feeling is one of warmth and calm, with tons of activities for those who wish them. Close to Buckhorn, a... More

I was so happy to be there sharing time with my family, David the manager of Woodhaven and all the personnel that work there were very welcoming, patient and treated my dog like one of their own, my family was always complementing me for the decision I made to choose Woodhaven, it was my first time there and I did... This was our first visit to Woodhaven and we loved it. Dogs everywhere 24/7. Great food, lots of snacks, beautiful lake, pretty gardens, comfortable beds, and the nicest people. It feels like visiting your best friend's cottage except you are not allowed to lift a finger. It is very quiet but with satellite TV, cell service and WIFI. Get away... More

This was my second visit to Woodhaven and for the life of me, I can't understand how I left the first time!!! From the moment you make the drive down the driveway catching glimpses of the most pristine view - you'll never want to leave. The accommodations are amazing- they are spacious, comfortable and a slice of home even down... More

Our only regret - TOO SHORT a visit. David's made some changes--stunning! My mom & I were a bit skeptical to come as we prefer a certain rm..David put us in the new "suite" WOW! My mom & I have found our wee bit of "Heaven on Earth" - we've travelled quite a bit, although this is the 1st place... More
